| Greetings Friends!
It has been a couple of months since we shared our news and views so I thought I would update you as to current 'Hoosier Harmony' happenings. The last two months have been busy. We held our annual Spring Sing at the First Church of the Nazarene in Indianapolis on April 1st with a great turn-out. We've also enjoyed great crowds in DeMotte, Madison, Murray's Marketplace, Bluffton Gospel Barn among many others. You may have noticed that you can no longer post entries to our Guestbook. Unfortunately, we were getting 75 to 80 'spam' messages a day and it is very time consuming to monitor and clear them out as some were very offensive and annoying advertisements. Therefore, we felt it was better to delete this portion of our website for the time being. Also....Don't miss the BOAT! The 'MADAM CARROLL' that is! We will be cruising on Saturday. June 24 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. - on Lake Freeman, Monticello. Call soon - ticket sales are limited and going fast! Since the founding of Hoosier Harmony Quartet (a little over three years ago) we have always enjoyed a special relationship among the members. GOD has blessed our ministry in ways we never imagined and we have been overwhelmed at times with the encouragement and support of our loyal followers. On May 14th Aaron informed us he would be resigning from the quartet, however, willing to continue until a replacement was found. For the last three years he has been our stage voice and booking contact. It will be hard to fill his shoes! He has also been an incredible support to me, as manager, in sharing his thoughts and ideas to benefit the quartet. Many of the creative CD covers and promotional material came from him. Aaron....you will be missed on and off the platform. Please pray for Hoosier Harmony Quartet as we begin our search for a new lead singer and that the Will of the Lord will continue to be shared through our ministry. . . . |

Hello Hoosier Harmony friends, I trust everyone has had a fantastic St. Patrick’s day and I’m guessing everyone is looking forward to spring. We have a couple of events that I wanted to drop a note about. Tomorrow, March 18, if you are in the Indianapolis area and more specifically the Hancock area we will be singing at a fund-raising event for Hancock Sheriff candidate Mike Shepherd. Mr. Shepherd is a fine Christian man that I’ve known for a number of years and we’ve agreed to support him with this event. It will be held in Fortville, IN at 8 N. Main St. at the Jammin’ Java. This event starts at 6:00 tomorrow night and we’d love to see some of you there. The other event is just 2 weeks away and it’s our annual spring concert. We have a new location this year at the First Church of the Nazarene in Indianapolis. The church is located at 9401 E. 25th St. on the east side of Indianapolis. Our guests this year will be the Collingsworth Family and Tom Kennerk. The date is April 1 at 6:00. Tickets are $10 in advance, $12 day of the show. Children under 12 are free but they do need a ticket. Tickets are available at the church office or you can call me at 317-467-4204. If you have a group coming call me for special group rates. We’re looking forward to seeing many of you for this special event. Please keep Hoosier Harmony in your prayers as we endeavor to stay in the center of the Lord’s will. | Hello to those who care about Hoosier Harmony--or landed here by accident! All is well in our part of Indiana. Hoosier Harmony is enjoying a month off while Steve makes his annual trip to Florida. BTW, Steve just turned 50 so I think he’s probably enjoying this stay in God’s waiting room! I will also be making a trip to Guatemala leaving this Friday, February 10. We’ve never taken an entire month away from each other so we’ll probably need to wear nametags when we meet again. Tickets have just gone on sale for our April 1 concert with the Collingsworths and Tom Kennerk. Phil and Kim Collingsworth and their family are no strangers in these parts as they were a part of our first 2 annual spring concerts at the Paramount Theatre in Anderson a couple of years ago. This year our concert has a new home at the First Church of the Nazarene in Indianapolis. I think you’ll find that this new venue will be a little more friendly and accessible in many ways such as parking and navigating. The church is at 9401 E. 25th St. on the east side of Indianapolis. Opening the program that evening will be Tom Kennerk a terrific saxophone player that will be appearing at one of our promotions for the first time. Tickets are going fast and are $10 in advance and $12 at the door. Children under 12 are free but be sure to mention them when ordering tickets as they will need a ticket. Brenda has put together a package as she normally does but space is limited. Top-Notch’s number is 800-305-4951. Just before Christmas we took delivery on a shipment of new CDs called “Travelin’ Live”. This is a live recording done in Marion, IN this past May. It contains both songs that we’ve been singing for years, as well as some that have never been recorded by Hoosier Harmony. We’ve been blessed with many invitations to sing this year but we do have some openings still available. If your church or event would like to host Hoosier Harmony please give me a call at 317-467-4204, or email us at info@hoosierharmony.com . We’d love an opportunity to serve you in any way we can. We hope you’ll check our schedule and come to see us whenever we’re in your area. Aaron Baker, The Hoosier Harmony Quartet PS Our guestbook is working now but we've lost all of the old entries. We'd love it if you'd sign the new one so we'll know you're here. Thanks. . . . |

Murray's Marketplace this Friday--October 28 posted on 25 Oct 2005 |
Hello from Hoosier Harmony, Hope this finds everyone well and enjoying the fall weather that has finally arrived in central Indiana. Looking at the calendar I see that Christmas is just 2 months from today, where has 2005 gone? We’ve been busy boys recently and God has blessed our efforts by giving us some great crowds to sing to who really act like they enjoy what we are doing. A special thanks goes out to Karen and Mike Todd of the Bluffton Gospel Barn. They had us for two dates this past year and we got to experience the special place that they have created. If you’re anywhere near the Bluffton area, you need to make plans to visit them in the coming year. I’m writing to let you know of a date that we’ve just added in the past couple of days. We’ll be at Murray’s Marketplace in Shirley, IN this coming Friday night, October, 28. They start serving the meal at 5:00 and the singing begins at about 6:15. For more information check out www.murraymarketplace.com . BTW, we've just booked this date so our name isn't in the slot for the 28th, but we'll be there! We’re booking for next year and we’d love to have your church or event on our schedule. If you’d like to schedule Hoosier Harmony feel free to email info@hoosierharmony.com or call me at 317-467-4204. Aaron Baker, The Hoosier Harmony Quartet . . . |

| Hoosier Harmony Hellos, As I have not sent any updates since Hector was just a little fellow I’ll take this opportunity to catch everyone up on Hoosier Harmony. We have had a fantastic summer with a busy schedule meeting many wonderful people. God has been good to us and we can’t thank Him enough for his traveling mercies and His goodness to us. We are looking forward to a great fall schedule which begins next Saturday night, September 10, with our last big promotion of the year, our annual fall concert at the Peru High School auditorium. Our guests that night will be the Anchormen Quartet and the Bowden Family. The Anchormen were with us last year and we liked them so much that we’re bringing them back again. The Bowden Family was with us this spring and they have a unique ministry which is based out of Kentucky and features a trio of children none of which is older than 13. You’ll enjoy their performance as we have in the past. For tickets call Tom at 765-472-1817, or for a bus/meal/ticket package out of the Indianapolis or Lafayette area call Top Notch tours at 800-305-4951. Speaking of Top Notch Tours, I’m writing this at about 2:00 Sunday morning and we’ve just returned from being with some of those fine people on a barge tour in Paducah, KY. They are going from St. Louis to Nashville on this barge and they invited us to come sing while they docked and we really enjoyed being with some of Brenda’s travelers as well as met some friendly people from all over the US. We certainly appreciate Brenda’s support of our ministry and we’ve met some wonderful friends through Top Notch without whom our ministry just wouldn’t be the same. In my time of not keeping things updated, we’ve released two new CD’s. CHANGED and HYMNS IN HARMONY arrived several weeks ago and we’ve been enjoying singing from these projects. CHANGED is fairly similar to our other projects in that it is Southern Gospel and is orchestrated in such a way. HYMNS IN HARMONY is a little different to anything else we’ve ever done in that it is produced in a simpler manner where the only instruments used were keyboard, upright bass, brushes on drums, and a little guitar. The guitar player’s name is Ray Cummins and he was a personal friend of Chet Atkins and he plays just like him. If you’d be interested in obtaining these or any other products from HHQ drop us an email at info@hoosierharmony.com and we’d be glad to let you know how to get them to you. We still have a few dates available this fall and winter and we’re booking for next year, if your church or event would like to have a quartet please give me a call at 317-467-4204. Thank you for all of your support and prayers for Hoosier Harmony, without your support there would be no possible way to continue in what we do--nor would we care to! God bless. Pre-Spring Hoosier Harmony Howdys! Hello from beautiful Central Indiana. It has been close to forever since I’ve written so let me catch you up on the Hoosier Harmony Quartet. We’ve just returned from a weekend of singing in Northern Indiana. Last night found us in South Bend where we met many new friends at the Deer Run Church of Christ. This morning we ministered at Free Baptist Church in Benton, IN, where we re-made some old acquaintances from the old Lordsmen Quartet days. Thank you to both of these churches for making us welcome. We finally took delivery on our new video recording LIVE IN INDIANAPOLIS at the beginning of January. This is the concert that we recorded in July at the IGMF. Not only is there plenty of live concert footage, but we also entwined some interviews with the quartet members as well as some live “front of the bus singing”. We’ve enjoyed producing this video recording and we’re hoping that it is a blessing to you. It is available in both VHS and DVD formats and we hope you’ll order one soon. We’re in the process of recording 2 new CD’s. We’re recording both a traditional quartet recording, and a Hymns project. While we’re excited about both of these projects, we didn’t plan on all of the guys being sick during the process so it is taking longer than originally anticipated. Tom, Mike and I have had a variety of colds and respiratory infections, Steve is going for bigger things. Tomorrow, March 7, he will be going in to get his gall bladder removed. Please pray for Steve as he undergoes surgery that all will go well and he’ll not miss any time with the quartet. Our 4th annual Praise at the Paramount is less than 2 weeks away. March 19, will find Hoosier Harmony, Aaron Wilburn, and Water In2 Wine on stage at the beautiful Paramount Theatre in downtown Anderson, IN. The previous 3 concerts at the Paramount have been marked with great crowds and terrific entertainment and ministry, and I have no reason to believe that this year will be any different. We hope that you are making plans to be with us on this date. For ticket information, please call me at 317-467-4204. Tickets are $12 in advance, and $14 at the door. Children under 12 are free and do not need a ticket. If you would like to bring a group, give me a call and I’ll give you a discount. Our schedule is filling up, but there is still room for your church or event. Give me a call and we’d be glad to bring Southern Gospel music to your crowd. Be sure and check our schedule to see when we’ll be near you, without you there is no need or ministry for the Hoosier Harmony Quartet. Finally, our crowds at the Gathering have been fantastic. This coming Saturday we’ll be having our second-Saturday-southern-sing at 5200 N. Shadeland Ave. at the Lawrence United Methodist Church at 6:00. Our guests will be Resurrection out of the Lafayette area. Come out and enjoy this free-will offering concert, we’ll be looking for you. Aaron Baker, The Hoosier Harmony Quartet . . . |

November News posted on 16 Nov 2004 |
| Pre-Holiday Hellos from Hoosier Harmony, It’s been too long since I updated things so now is the time! We’ve been enjoying a wonderful Fall here in central Indiana, and God has been good to us. We have been enjoying singing to, and meeting some terrific people. We are thrilled to announce our first live video and DVD which should be out by December 1. This was recorded at Calvary Temple here in Indianapolis, and we added to that live footage with some interview segments, as well as some of our “front-of-the-bus-singing”. As soon as this is available we’ll let you know. The other item I wanted to announce is that we’ve just been added to the line-up at Murray Marketplace in Shirley, IN for the Friday after Thanksgiving, November 26. If you’ve not been to Murray’s, they have created a special atmosphere for Southern Gospel music where you pay for your meal and the concert is free-will offering. Ron Murray has been successful in bringing some of the biggest names in our industry to Central Indiana and we always enjoy being with him. The eating begins at 5:00 and the singing starts at 6:00. My suggestion is that you get up early that day and do your Christmas shopping, and by that evening you’ll be tired and ready to sit down to a great meal and hear some quartet singing! For more information check out www.murraymarketplace.com for more details. BTW, we were added to the schedule due to a cancellation so if you don’t see our names on November 26, don’t worry, we will be there. We are booking for 2005, call me at 317-467-4204 to reserve your date. Aaron Baker, The Hoosier Harmony Quartet . . . |

Labor Day Greetings posted on 04 Sep 2004 |
| September 4, 2004 Labor Day Greetings from Hoosier Harmony, I hope this finds everyone well on this weekend, all of the ones who make up Hoosier Harmony are well and we’re all looking forward to the Holiday. We’ve just concluded our busiest month in many years with 13 concerts in August. As most of you know, the vast majority of our concerts are within a short drive of Indianapolis, but this month we didn’t spend one Saturday night in our own homes. The lone exception to this was the Saturday in Peru when Tom was able to sleep in his own bed. We did have a wonderful time at our annual concert at the Peru High School, we had a nice crowd and our guests the Anchormen were terrific. Thank you to all who came out and supported Gospel music in Peru. Other bus stops in August included Grand Haven, MI, Linden, MI, Lima, OH, as well as many other wonderful churches and people. Our last big promotion of the year is coming us in just over a month, October 9, will find Hoosier Harmony, the Singing Ambassadors, and the Sunshiners on the Belle of Louisville. This is always an exciting event and we’re looking forward to being with many of you on this day. The only downside of this annual event has often been the summer heat which we’ve often experienced. This year we’ve moved it to October and we’re hoping to be able to enjoy some fall foliage on the Ohio river. Brenda Bahler has added another bus so she has some openings. If you would be interested in a boat/meal/bus package call Top-Notch Tours at 800-305-4951. If you are interested in Tickets only call Steve at 765-482-4547, or Aaron at 317-467-4204. Tickets are $15 in advance, and $18 at the gate. The boat boards at ll:00 Kentucky time (10:00 Indiana time) and sails at Noon Kentucky time (11:00 Indiana time) and it sails for 3 hours--both times! Come join us for a great Autumn afternoon of Gospel music and fun on the river. We are currently experiencing our busiest schedule that we’ve ever had. While this is a great problem to face, it also causes us to ask you to book early for next year. We’ve had some phone calls for dates in the next month or 2 and while in years past you might have been able to still get your desired date, this year it’s probably already taken. Call me at 317-467-4204. If you have a date in mind check our website at www.hoosierharmony.com to see if that date is available. Check our schedule to see when we’ll be near you, we’d love to see you soon. Aaron Baker, The Hoosier Harmony Quartet . . . |

Garry Jones and Mercy's Mark is coming to Indy! posted on 22 Jun 2004 |
| June 22, 2004 Hello all, I’m writing to let you know of a special event that we’ve just booked. As most of you know, at our monthly Gathering we typically have a groups from this area to be our guest for the evening. The month of July we’re excited to have a brand new group that is known nationally, and we’re privileged to bring them to you for the first time in Indianapolis. While the name of the group you might not know, the keyboard player is well known having played for Gold City for many years, his name of course is Garry Jones. More recently he has played with the Old Friends Quartet with Jake Hess and George Younce. Garry was also one of the founding members of the Signature Sound Quartet. We are looking forward to having Garry’s new group, Mercy’s Mark Quartet with us on July 10, at 6:00 pm at the Lawrence United Methodist Church. Admission will be a free-will offering, and we’re hoping for a great crowd that night. Please invite your friends and come join us for a great night of quartet music. If you have any questions feel free to call Aaron at 317-467-4204. May God bless you. Aaron Baker, The Hoosier Harmony Quartet . . . |

Lots of stuff posted on 06 Apr 2004 |
| Hundreds of Heartfelt Hoosier Hellos from the Heartland! Greetings from the Hoosier Harmony Guys! It’s been a while since I’ve written so I thought I’d let you in on a couple of things. Thank you to all who made our 3rd annual Praise at the Paramount a success. We had a terrific time with Aaron Wilburn and Jim Hutson, I don’t think we’ve been privileged to work with anyone more accommodating and it was very enjoyable. It was great seeing so many of you that have supported us over the years, thank you again. We were privileged to get some great coverage from the Anderson Herald Bulletin this year. Over the month prior to the concert there were at least 3 articles about our concert and I know they were instrumental in helping us draw a crowd. Here is a link to the article that appeared Sunday, March 28 reviewing the concert, http://www.heraldbulletin.com/story.asp?id=3318, if you would be inclined it would be great if you would drop them an email thanking them for the coverage of this event. It’s almost here! We are very excited about the impending arrival of our latest recording “LISTEN”. This has been a long time coming, but the time is almost up and we should certainly have it by May 1, if not before. If you’d like to hear 3 of the songs on this recording go to our website and click on ‘music’, we are excited about this recording and we’ll let you know as soon as it is available. When you go to hear the songs, please sign the guestbook again if you haven’t done so in a while, we like to know when you visit us. For those in the Indianapolis area, don’t forget about the Gathering held the second Saturday of each month at the Lawrence United Methodist Church, 5200 N. Shadeland Ave. All of the roadwork on 465 is complete and access to the church--especially from the north is quite smooth. Just take the Shadeland Ave. exit coming south and the church is on your right just off the exit. This month our guests will be Ron and Sharon Frazier from S. Whitley, IN. Of course entry to the Gathering is covered by a Freewill offering only, so come and join us. We’ve been having great crowds and we hope to see you there. This coming month we will be at our normal Palm Sunday and Easter Sunday dates--Peru Nazarene, and Greensboro Nazarene. For those of you in the Lafayette area, we will be in concert with Resurrection and the Blairs on April 17 at Harrison High School. The number for tickets is 765-423-1389. Our schedule is filling up nicely, but we still have some good dates available, check the schedule page and contact me at 317-467-4204 if you could use a quartet at your church of function. Please continue praying for the Hoosier Harmony Quartet as we travel that we would not be weary in well doing as we spread the Gospel through this great Southern Gospel Music. Happy Valentines Day posted on 13 Feb 2004 |
| Hello, I hope this is finding everyone well and in the Valentine spirit. We Hoosier Harmony boys are anxious to sing. After Steve’s 2 week vacation to Florida, we sang once last weekend but were postponed on Sunday due to the weather so we’re rarin’ to go! We will be singing in the Indianapolis area twice this weekend and we would love to see you. First is our monthly “Gathering”. this will be February 14, at 6:00 at the Lawrence United Methodist Church. Of course we have lifted our entry fee at the door and are simply receiving a free-will offering. The crowds have been great recently and we hope to see you tomorrow. Our guests will be our own valentine’s--The Bells! Of course most of you will remember Craig traveled with our group for some time and still fills in when his schedule will allow. Craig and his wife, Michelle, have started their own ministry and will be sharing with us from their new recording “HURRY UP AND WAIT”. On Sunday night we are looking forward to being with the people at the Southport Church of the Nazarene. This church is really growing and we’re looking forward to sharing with them on Sunday evening Feb. 15 at 6:00. If you don’t have anywhere to be on Sunday night the Church is located less than a mile east of US 31 on the north side of Southport Rd. we would love to see you. Many of you have probably heard of our March promotion with Aaron Wilburn at the Paramount Theatre in Anderson. We’re hoping you will make plans to be with us on March 27 at the Paramount Theatre in Anderson. The concert starts at 6:00 and we are also looking forward to being with Jim Hutson that night. Jim is a southern Gospel DJ in the Columbus area who will be opening the evening as well as helping share the emcee duties. Tickets are $10 tickets in advance and $12. at the door. Please contact me at 317-467-4204, or at info@hoosierharmony.com for more information, or if you have a group and would like a special deal on tickets. Top-Notch Tours will be providing Ticket/Meal/Transportation packages from the Indianapolis and Lafayette areas, please call Brenda at 800-305-4951. Tickets may also be obtained from the Paramount Ticket office at 765-642-1234. We are booking well into the second half of this year, but we still have some dates available for this spring. Please give me a call if you would like to have the Hoosier Harmony Quartet in your church or at your event--317-467-4204. People have been wondering how I’m doing and the answer is quite well. I came through the surgery and spent 2 days in the hospital. I have started physical therapy and as of last week already have over 80 degrees of motion already back. Thank you for all of your prayers and cards that have been offered on my behalf. The doctor says it will still be a minimum of 6 more weeks that I’ll be off of my feet, and I’m hoping and praying that I can walk onstage at the Paramount on March 27! Continue praying for the Hoosier Harmony Quartet as we strive to carry our part of the Great Commission through Southern Gospel music. Aaron Baker, The Hoosier Harmony Quartet . . . |

Update posted on 23 Jan 2004 |
| January 23, 2004 Hoosier Harmony Hellos, While our group is taking a 2-week break for Steve to go to Florida, I thought I would take this opportunity to let everyone know what is going on with the Hoosier Harmony Quartet. For most groups of our nature January is a tough month to book, but we were blessed this month with a solid schedule and we have been enjoying seeing many of you. Bus stops this month included Zion’s Chapel in Peru, Memorial Drive Wesleyan Church in Muncie, True Life Baptist Church also in Muncie, Union Chapel Nazarene in Clay City, and the American Reformed Church in Demotte. We actually started the new year out on the road as we sang in Tiffin, OH at the First Baptist Church on New Years Eve. Thank you to all the fine people who have been responsible for bringing us into your churches, we appreciate all that you have done for us. Don’t forget to check out the schedule for our upcoming dates and come out and see us if you are able. Let me again remind you of our first major promotion of the year our third annual PRAISE AT THE PARAMOUNT. We are excited about having Aaron Wilburn with us this year. If you’ve never heard Aaron Wilburn you are in for a treat. While he has been in Gospel music for many years, recently he has been seen on the Gaither Videos and you may have seen his talents featured on such pieces as “Bless your heart”, and “Puttin’ on the Dog”. Besides being a Christian comedian, he is also known for his considerable song writing talents. He has written many songs like “It’s Beginning to Rain”, “What a Beautiful Day for the Lord To Come Again”, and Karen Peck’s recent song of the year, “Four Days Late.” We’re hoping you will make plans to be with us on March 27 at the Paramount Theatre in Anderson. We’re looking forward to this month’s Hoosier Harmony Gathering at the Lawrence United Methodist Church, 6:00 pm, February 14. Our featured guests will Craig and Michelle Bell singing for us. Many of you will remember Craig with our group for a while a couple of years ago. Also remember that we have dropped our charge at the door and are only accepting a free-will offering for entrance. Thank you as always for supporting our functions. Finally, let me add a personal prayer request. This past Tuesday night I was playing Basketball (if you’re as wide as I am maybe you should think twice about this activity) and I fell and broke my left leg. I will be having surgery today at 5:00 pm and would appreciate your prayers for my recovery. With the Lord’s help I do not plan on missing any dates and I’m looking forward to seeing you all soon.. Belated Christmas Greetings posted on 27 Dec 2003 |
| December 27, 2004 Ho, Ho, Ho, Belated Christmas wishes from the Hoosier Harmony Quartet! Here’s hoping your Christmas was blessed and that you got to spend time with your friends and loved ones. We Hoosier Harmony people had a much lighter schedule in December, as is normally the case, but we did have some happenings. We have been back in the studio recording our new project and we are excited about getting it back. (By the way, have you ever heard of any group not being excited about their latest project? I haven’t!) This recording has some old quartet standards on it, as well as some that you may never have heard. Without any major delays, it should be out around the end of February, or the beginning of March. This past month we also celebrated Christmas with our friends at The Gathering on December 13. We had a great crowd, as well as a great meal. We would like to thank those of you who took the time to be with us and come out on that snowy night--you are our family and we love and appreciate you. A special thanks goes to Bill and Jackie Reynolds for delaying their trip to Arizona to make this evening possible, we love you Bill and Jackie, thanks for all that you do! Speaking of The Gathering, we are making a change in the way we are doing business. We have decided to do away with the $5. entrance fee, and will instead only be accepting a free-will offering. Now don’t get us wrong, our expenses have not changed, but we have decided for a variety of reasons to stop charging. We looking forward to seeing lots of you on January 10, at 6:00 when our guests will be No Greater Love. Looking ahead, our first big promotion of the year is coming up on March 27. It will be our 3rd annual PRAISE AT THE PARAMOUNT, featuring Aaron Wilburn and the Hoosier Harmony Quartet. Just as last year, tickets are $10. in advance and $12. at the door. Please contact me at 317-467-4204, or at info@hoosierharmony.com for more information, or if you have a group and would like a special deal on tickets. This event has been very well attended the past 2 years, and we’re hoping for another great time. Going into a New Year is always a time for reflection and we are amazed at what the Lord has done for our quartet over the last 12 months. As most of you know we have had some major changes, but we have been so excited with the way God has blessed our efforts in continuing this ministry. No, it hasn’t always been easy, but we have no sad stories to tell. Time after time we have simply stood back in amazement at the way the Lord has been there when we most needed, and we have certainly learned that God’s clock keeps perfect timing. We are praying that the Lord will continue to bless us as we travel, as well as bless those that hear our music and our testimony. My you have a tremendous New Year! October News posted on 15 Oct 2003 |
| Hello Friends of Hoosier Harmony, It has been too long since I have written, so I’ll take this opportunity to update you on what is going on with our group. My reason for the delinquency is not one of inactivity, but of over-activity! The past 2 weekends have found us singing for 8 different events, which if you ask Tom is too many for a part-time group. This past Saturday we were privileged to be a part of the Northern States Quartet Convention held in Marion, IN. We were delighted to be a part of a very strong quartet line-up which included the Dixie Echoes, the Melody Boys Quartet, Ed Enoch and Golden Covenant, the Reggie Sadler Family, the Travelers, the Harvesters, the Men of Music, Jim Hamill, and Dennis Swanburg. It was a full day of quartet singing, which was tiring, but was filled with many memories. We were privileged to sing a song with Jim Hamill, and we were joined on stage by Dixie Echoes tenor, Billy Hodges, as he helped Tom on some high notes as Tom was nursing a sore throat. We would like to thank Ron Halbert for his passion for old-time quartet music, and all that he did to make this day possible. We had an incredible month of September, as we had our annual fall sing in Peru with the Florida Boys. We always enjoy being with them, and this time was no different. Thank you to all of you that helped make this special evening a success. The weekend before that we spent with the Singing Ambassadors for a total of 4 concerts here in the Indianapolis area. If you haven’t heard this group, you owe it to yourselves to hear them--they are fantastic. Our other bus stops over the past month and a half have included Cumberland Christian Church, Friendly Church of the Nazarene, Eaton First Baptist Church, Fortville Nazarene, Friendship Baptist, Fellowship Baptist, Pyrmont United Methodist, and Wolcott Baptist. Thank you to each of these congregations for allowing us to serve, and thank you to each of you who came out and made us feel welcome. We have had a couple of Gatherings and our crowds have been spectacular. Our November Gathering will be on November 8, and our special guests will be Crossroads Quartet out of the Bedford area. We hope that you will be a part of this evening at 5200 N. Shadeland Ave., at the Lawrence United Methodist Church. We are already booking well into 2004, but we still have many good dates available. Please call 317-467-4204, or email info@hoosierharmony.com. We would love to come to your church or event. Let me take this opportunity to thank those of you who regularly lift the Hoosier Harmony Quartet up in prayer. We know that you are out there, and we need you to continue praying that the Lord would use us, and to make us a blessing. Thank you. Aaron Baker, www.hoosierharmony.com . . . |

| Hello from sweltering Indiana, After experiencing below normal temperatures for the past several months, summer has really landed here in the heartland. As the old Dutchman said, “We have been in the 90’s for 3 days--yesterday, today and tomorrow!” This weekend I suppose we will find out just how well the AC in the bus works. We have a new member of the Hoosier Harmony family. Our tenor, Tom Correll, became a grandpa for the second time last Monday. Hayley Marie Anderson was born on June 16, 2003. She is the daughter of Amy and Robert Anderson. She weighed in at a healthy 7 lbs. 12 3/4 oz. and she is 19 in. long (or tall depending how you measure). Of course Amy is Tom and Lori’s oldest daughter and many of you know that Robert has been in the Middle East for the past little while, but he was able to come home on a 2-week leave for the birth of his daughter. Our congratulations and best wishes go out to the parents and grandparents of this new blessing. We’re also excited to be able to announce a concert right here in Indianapolis on August 10. We will be in concert with True Cross at the Westside Church of the Nazarene at 6:00 that evening. There is no admission charge and we would love to see lots of you out that evening. Greg Robinson is a part of True Cross and many of you will remember him as being in our group several years ago. Of course this will be the day after our cruise on the Belle of Louisville. Along with the Hoosier Harmony Quartet will be the Crossmen Quartet, Souls Harbor, and Lisa Ford. The boat will sail at noon Kentucky time. For most of you Hoosiers, that is 11:00 AM. Tickets are $15. for the boat ride and concert. Please give Aaron a call for tickets 317-467-4204, or if you would be interested in a bus/meal/boat ride package call Brenda at Top Notch Tours 1-800-305-4951. Also, continue to remember the annual Fall Peru Sing, September 20, 2003. Our friends the Florida Boys will be our special guests along with Lisa Ford and this will be held at the Peru High School. Please call Tom at 765-473-1817 for more information. Brenda will also be making a bus/meal/concert package available for this event, please call her at the above number. One more thing on our quite full calendar is the Indiana Gospel Music Festival at Lawrence Central High School on July 18 and 19. We will be singing on the 19th, but both evenings will be filled with Gospel music featuring groups and soloists that base in the Hoosier State. We have tickets for this event, please call for more information. We had our first Hoosier Gathering (formerly known as the Coffeehouse) on June 14, and we had a special time with so many of our friends. Our next Hoosier Gathering will be on July 12, at 6:00 pm at the Lawrence United Methodist Church. We would love to see you there. Please check our schedule for any other times that we might be in your area. God Bless you. Aaron Baker, www.hoosierharmony.com . . . |

June 11, 2003 Hello friends, What an exciting time it is to be a part of the Hoosier Harmony Quartet! We are busy about our Father’s work--while at the same time having a ball. The last time I wrote we were in the process of getting our bus. It is finally here and has received a new paint job. The bus formerly belonged to country singer, T.G. Shepherd, and was perhaps the ugliest bus I have ever seen. It was faded and chipped gray, with large murals on the side that I can only imagine were cool back in the ‘80s. Unfortunately, these are the ‘00s and such things aren’t cool anymore, so we painted over them. Steve went with a color of green that he liked, but didn’t know the name of the color. Since then we have found out that it is “Martha Stewart green”. We are having a great time traveling on old Martha, and there are pictures of her on the website. Check them out on our photo page. Many of you took part in our May promotion of signing the guestbook and being registered for our drawing. We had so many entries that we decided to have 2 winners and the winners are...Bill and Jackie Reynolds, and Shirley Carter. Both of these winners are dear friends of ours from the Indianapolis area and we certainly hope they enjoy our new CD--RENEWED. Speaking of the recording, we were unavoidably delayed in getting it reproduced and so it looks like it will be the end of June, rather than the beginning as we had advertised. As you can see on the website, we have recorded lots of old songs, as well as some newer ones, our hope is that you will enjoy them and be blessed. We have news on our annual boat trip. After several problems with the Madam Carroll, we were informed towards the end of May that our August 9th date would not be possible. As we had mentioned before, the boat had to be pulled out of the water for some repairs and after getting started they found some unforeseen problems that would not allow the boat back in the water until next year. Needless to say we were disappointed, but we have decided to make lemonade out of the situation and we have booked the Belle of Louisville for the same date. Please give Aaron a call for tickets, or if you would be interested in a bus/meal/boat ride package call Brenda at Top Notch Tours 1-800-305-4951. This Saturday is our first monthly gathering at our new location. Of course our group has always had a monthly coffeehouse on the second Saturday of the month and while we are in a new location, with a new name, it will still be the same time of food, fellowship, and Gospel music. We are trying to get away from the coffeehouse name, so the new name is The Hoosier Gathering. The location is the Lawrence United Methodist Church at 5200 N. Shadeland Ave. It will begin at 6:00 pm and we will still be charging $5. at the door to cover expenses. While we normally have a musical guest with us, so many times at our coffeehouse we have people wondering why we don’t have a month when it’s just us. Well this Saturday is the night, only the Hoosier Harmony Quartet will be singing . We hope to see many of you. This past month we did take 2 weekends off, but we still took time to sing 3 concerts in Illinois and several times here in our home state. Thank you to all of you who came out to support our ministry, we hope something we sang or said inspired you in your walk with the Lord. Thank you all for supporting the Hoosier Harmony Quartet, while you are here we would love it if you would sign the guest book and check the schedule page to see when we’ll be in your area. God bless. Aaron Baker . . . |

Happy Mothers Day posted on 11 May 2003 |
| Hundreds of Heartfelt Hoosier Harmony Hellos, Happy Mothers Day to all. The Hoosier Harmony Quartet is taking this Mothers Day weekend off to be with our mothers, and to catch a breath after over 2 months without any time off. We have great news, we finally have our bus! Steve and Tom went to Nashville on Friday night, and returned the following day and we are excited. Steve drove it up from Nashville and said it drove perfectly without any vibrations or anything else with which buses are frequently plagued. The other thing I wanted to mention is the giveaway promotion that we are having right now. We will be having a drawing as soon as our new recording comes out, and the way to enter the drawing is simply to sign our guestbook. All you have to do is click on the guestbook and sign it and you will be entered to win our new recording entitled, RENEWED. If you have already signed it, go ahead and sign it again as we will be entering everyone who signs between May 10 and June 1. While you are here, check out our photo page. We have just put pictures of us in the studio which we thought you might enjoy. Also check our schedule and come see us when we are in your area. May God Richly bless you. What a weekend! posted on 30 Apr 2003 |
| Hello all, The Lord has really been blessing the Hoosier Harmony Quartet. This past weekend we had 3 concerts, and we had a blessed time at each one. Saturday night we sang at Zion Chapel in Peru, where Tom’s brother Rod pastors and they were holding a “benefit sing” for our quartet. Knowing the expensed that have been incurred throughout the past few months, they raised in excess of $6000. for our group! To God Be The Glory! We also sang in Eagle Town, and at the First Baptist Church in Lebanon, and we had great times both places. Thank you to all of you who came out to see us this past weekend. Speaking of expenses, we are hoping to have our bus by this weekend. We are purchasing a bus from a company in Nashville, TN, and we’re excited about getting back to the bus life! We also got to hear our completed recording this week, and we are very excited what Danny and Scott (our producer and engineer) have accomplished with what we gave them to work with. These guys truly are magicians and we love working with them. The new recording is tentatively titled “Renewed” and should be available by June 1. This weekend we will be in Ohio, Kentucky, and Indianapolis. Check our schedule page for details. Bye, Aaron . . . |

April, 2003 posted on 25 Apr 2003 |
| Hello Friends, Wow, what a lot of changes. As you can see we have changed our name, but our commitment to Southern Gospel Music has remained consistent. As of March 22, 2003 we are now the Hoosier Harmony Quartet. Some of you may know that there was another group called the Lordsmen based in West Virginia and they had the name prior to us. At this time we decided that the best thing to do was to simply change our name and thus Hoosier Harmony was born. I hope you like this new site, as you can see there is quite a bit more information than the former page, with much more to come. Keep looking here for more news as well as pictures of the group, our schedule, and any promotions that we have. We spent the first Friday and Saturday in the studio working on our first project under our new name, and we're hoping that it will be out around June 1. As has been our tradition, most of the songs are older--but hopefully ones that you haven?t heard in some time. Keep checking back here and we'll let you know when it will be available. We are continuing our radio program, Steve and I will still be on WNTS 1590 AM, for those of you in Indianapolis. We encourage you to join us there every Saturday between 1 and 1:30 PM for the latest in our group. One of the casualties of the new name is the location of our coffeehouse. We would like to take this opportunity to thank Pastor Wilhite and his wonderful people for the warm welcome they extended to us back in November. We will always have fond memories of the six months we shared with the Kessler Krest Baptist Church. But, as with all good things, this too has come to an end. Beginning on June 14, our new coffeehouse location will be at the Lawrence United Methodist Church at 5200 N. Shadeland Ave. here in Indianapolis. If you?ve never been to this location it s right off of 465 on the east side. This will begin at 6:00 every second Saturday of the month, and will continue to feature the Hoosier Harmony Quartet, as well as a featured guest each month. We hope to see many of you there in June. We will be continuing all of our annual promotions, including the Madam Carroll boat ride. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen occurrences, the date has changed to August 9. If you have purchased tickets they will be valid on this date, if you can not attend that date, please let us know and we will be happy to refund your purchase price. Our annual fall concert in Peru is definitely still scheduled. The date is September 20, and that day will begin with our annual golf outing. We will conclude the day with a concert at the Peru High School featuring the Hoosier Harmony Quartet and the Florida Boys. Those who attended last year will remember what a fun evening we enjoyed, and we certainly hope that many more of you will put this on your calandar and spend a great Saturday with us. We do still have an occasional date open this year, and we are booking for 2004. Give me a call if you would like for us to be a part of your church or event. My number is 317-467-4204. As I am getting writers cramp, I will end this epistle. Please sign our guest book before leaving, and keep checking back here to find out about Hoosier Harmony, and come out and see us when we?re in your area. May God richly bless you, Aaron . . . |
